The purpose of the Springfield, MO Belly Dance Meetup group is to facilitate communication between everyone in Southwest Missouri who is interested in Middle Eastern dance and music. We hope to educate those who are new to the dance, intrigued by it, or want to further their knowledge of the dance. We plan to discuss and explore the many different facets of the dance, or "What is belly dance?” such as, American belly dance, American tribal dance, world fusion, gypsy style, North African dance, etc. The #1 goal of our group is to build a stronger Middle Eastern dance community through each other.
